Digital transformation accelerates existing workforce inequalities. Our data shows that many of the marginalized communities in the US today that are hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic are also those that are most at risk of job disruption from AI and other emerging technologies. These at-risk workers are primarily women, Black and Hispanic workers.

In our report, Diversity and the Age of Automation, we've analyzed US Census data to investigate the impacts of AI and robotic technology on the US workforce across five key industries - food services, healthcare, retail, finance and education.
